Ultramax DT Direct Thermal Labels
Premium Durable Direct Thermal Labels — Now Available in Canada from DuraFast Label Company
If you've ever had a label fade in a warehouse, smear in the field, or fail a scan when it mattered most — Ultramax DT was built for you. Most direct thermal labels are a compromise: they're convenient, but they don't last. Ultramax DT changes that. Built on a synthetic BOPP film with advanced, patent-pending topcoat technology, it delivers the durability you'd expect from a thermal transfer label — without the ribbon, without the extra steps, and without the downtime.
What Are Ultramax DT Direct Thermal Labels?
Ultramax DT is a premium durable direct thermal label material engineered for the most demanding real-world conditions. Built on a newly developed synthetic BOPP film facestock with advanced, patent-pending topcoat technology, Ultramax DT delivers the proven durability of a thermal transfer label — completely ribbon-free.
Simply print on the go from any mobile, desktop, or industrial direct thermal printer and trust that your labels stay scannable and human-readable when it matters most. Ultramax DT is specifically engineered to perform across extreme temperatures up to 70°C (158°F), direct sunlight and UV exposure, moisture and humidity, and harsh chemicals and solvents. Your labels will hold up wherever the work takes you. No ribbon. No compromise. Just durable, high-performance direct thermal label printing built for the real world.
Why Ultramax DT Is the Most Durable Direct Thermal Label Available in Canada
What sets Ultramax DT apart from every other direct thermal label on the market is its exceptional longevity — durability on par with thermal transfer labels, but without using a ribbon. Engineered to perform in temperatures up to 70°C (158°F), it resists UV-induced print degradation and remains scannable and human-readable for:
- Up to 2 years in typical warehouse conditions
- Up to 1 year when used outdoors
- Chemical resistance to alcohol, bleach, IPA, ammonia, acetone, xylene, and saltwater
- UV, moisture, and direct sunlight resistance for true outdoor performance
- BPA-free, BPS-free, and No-Phenols-Added — safe for workers and the environment
Why No Ribbon Is a Bigger Deal Than It Sounds
Thermal transfer labels require a ribbon — an extra consumable that has to be ordered, stocked, loaded, and changed. In a busy warehouse or field operation, that's friction. Ribbons run out. They get loaded wrong. They add cost to every label you print. Ultramax DT eliminates the ribbon entirely without giving up the durability thermal transfer is known for. That's the engineering breakthrough behind the patent-pending topcoat — and it's what separates Ultramax DT from conventional direct thermal labels.
Ultramax DT Direct Thermal Label Construction
3 Mil Direct Thermal Platinum White Film Facestock
The 3 Mil Direct Thermal Platinum White facestock is a matte white, top-coated, biaxially-oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film. It is ideal for indoor and outdoor applications requiring chemical or water resistance, and it is formulated to be BPA-free, BPS-free, and No-Phenols-Added.
All-Temperature Emulsion Acrylic Adhesive
An all-temperature adhesive designed to provide good room temperature performance and strong cold temperature performance. Because of its cold temperature properties and good adhesion to corrugated cardboard, it is an ideal adhesive for warehouse applications.
- Adhesive Type: Emulsion Acrylic
- Minimum Application Temperature: -20°F
- Service Temperature Range: -65°F to +200°F
- Repulpable: Fully recyclable — enables full recyclability of the end packaging
- Food Contact Compliance: Adhesive meets the requirements of FDA CFR 175.105 for indirect food contact
