This sturdy label unwinder for Epson TM-C3500, TM-C7500, CW-C6000 and CW-C6500 color label printers sits behind the printer, feeding label rolls with an outside diameter of up to 10 inches with ease. The DuraFast label unwinder has a fixed 3" core holder and can hold up to 5” wide media.
By placing the label unwinder behind your Epson TM-C3500, Epson TM-C7500, or Epson CW-C6000 / CW-C6500 label printer, you can use larger size label rolls, thereby reducing your per label costs and limiting the number of roll changes. You can also easily monitor your label supply on the roll with a quick glance. When paired with our label rewinder (sold separately), which sits at the front of the printer, roll-to-roll printing becomes possible.
How the LU40x Label Unwinder Works
The label unwinder has two types of speed adjustments. The tension arm automatically adjusts the speed from zero, up to the desired speed or you can set the main speed with a knob. When the roll runs out, the label unwinder will alert you by beeping.
An external power supply 100/240VAC - 2.5A at 24V powers the label unwinder, its tension arm, rotation speed, and rotation direction. A 2A fuse is used as protection.
The tension arm moves up and down as follows:
- Idle — The tension arm is in the middle position.
- Printing — When the printer forwards the media, the tension arm goes up and unwinds the media; when the printer pulls back the media, the tension arm goes down, the device rewinds it.
